What writes back, and when
What Mesio is allowed to put in your chart, what you approve first, and the one rule that does not bend on any route.
Everything Mesio puts into your practice system passes through one door, and that door has a person standing at it.
The rule
Mesio enters. It does not save. On every route, on every system. It fills the fields and stops, and a person reviews and commits.
That is not a limitation waiting to be lifted in a later version. The signature is the entire trust story of a clinical record, and moving it would change what the product is.
What you approve, and what stops asking
Different work deserves different ceremony, so the amount of review is tuned per kind of work rather than set once for everything.
- Notes always ask. A note carries your signature.
- Planned procedures always ask. They create billable lines.
- Perio asks for the first several charts, then stops asking. Depths verify at a glance, and reviewing dozens of numbers every single time is the sort of tax that quietly kills a good tool.
Your cursor always wins
If you start working in the tab while Mesio is partway through writing, it stands down. The remainder comes back to you as an offer rather than being forced through.
That applies even on systems Mesio knows perfectly well. Being capable of driving and being entitled to drive at this moment are separate questions, and a human being present settles the second one.
Ambiguity stops the write. Wherever Mesio is not certain which patient or which field it is looking at, it refuses rather than picking. Relaxing how it navigates never relaxes how certain it has to be about identity.
Seeing what was done
Everything that went to your practice system appears in one list, including the writes that refused themselves and the ones that paused. A partial write reports as partial rather than as a tick.
Signing as the write
There is one optional setting worth knowing about. Practices running unattended can make signing a note also the moment it is filed, because for them signing genuinely is the finish line.
It is off unless someone turns it on, and even then it does not change the rule above. The person signing is the person approving.
